Statement from College of Policing in response to the Sgt Matt Ratana case verdict

Andy Walker, College of Policing lead for uniformed policing, said: “Officers regularly confront danger on behalf of the public, but we should always look to reduce the threat to officers where it is possible. We will support the NPCC as policing seeks to learn any lessons from the tragic and horrific murder of Matt Ratana.  Our thoughts and condolences remain with his family, friends and colleagues."
