The Guardian reports that the Southport attack has exposed a ‘crisis with trust’ according to Emily Spurrell, chair of the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC). Conspiracy theories about the Southport attack are spreading because of a crisis with “trust in institutions” in Britain, Spurrell said, who is also PCC for Merseyside.
